Following the discovery of the original colour transparencies used for the classic 1966 Scanlens ‘Flag Series’ football cards, the AFL X-men (AFL Combined Past Players & Officials Association inc), presented the Scanlens Archives range of limited edition prints and collector cards.

66 limited edition sets of the Scanlens Archives 1966 Flag Card Series collectors cards were issued in a Presentation Album

The Complete Presentation Album includes 8 x 10 Team Photographs Series, Archive Series collector cards (84), Portrait Series collector cards (84), Captains Series collector cards (12), Grand Final series collector cards (4), and numbered Certificate Of Authenticity.

Above is the South Melbourne teamset taken from a complete album. 10 VFL players (John Northey, Ken Emselle, Barry Davis, Daryl Griffith, Terry Waters, Ken Beck, John Bahen, John "Sammy" Newman, Graeme John and Maurie Sankey) were ommitted from the original set to allow for the inclusion of WA players. These players, never seen before, are included in their respective teamsets.
