The back of the card shows an advertisement for the store that issued it. They were originally issued with coupons at the base for cutting off and using in a prize scheme. This series shows the players name on the back of the card and some cards are numbered on the front. The team photos and the S.Barker card differ slightly in that they do have a caption on the front. The cards are very flimsy and of generally poor quality and come in several different shades including green, yellow and blue.
The cards were most likely issued over a number of years as some of the players listed did not start playing until after 1921, but an exact date of issue is unknown.
